So you only have 3 days to explore Banff National Park? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! With a refined list of activities and must-see attractions, this itinerary ensures you’ll experience the best of Banff and the Canadian Rockies in the shortest amount of time. Whether you’re an avid hiker, nature enthusiast, or looking to relax and soak in the majestic beauty, this 3-day Banff summer itinerary has everything you’ll need to ensure a memorable experience.
Tips for Visiting Banff National Park
1. Park Pass: Save time and purchase your Park Pass online to avoid waiting at park entry points.
2. Shuttle Reservations: If you would like to visit Lake Louise or Moraine Lake, be sure to book your shuttle in advance. The road to Moraine Lake is closed to private vehicles, and parking at Lake Louise is sparse and fills up quickly.
3. Fuel & Services: Fuel and services are limited along the highway, so make sure to fill up beforehand and pack plenty of snacks and water. Before embarking on any trail, it’s essential to check for possible closures due to weather changes.
4. Park Regulations: Familiarize yourself with park regulations, including camping restrictions, wildlife protection measures, and Leave No Trace principles.
5. Bear safety: As the parkway is home to bears and plenty of other wildlife, be sure to carry bear spray, travel in groups, and store food property. Learn and follow Bear Safety Protocols.
6. Be prepared: Be sure to pack strategically and ensure you have weather-ready gear, navigational tools, and safety essentials.
