From fun clean-ups to educational talks, here’s how you can get involved and make a difference this Earth Day.
Bow Valley
Basecamp Resorts and Rotary Club Clean-Up
Date: April 22, 2025
Time: 1:00 PM MDT - 2:30 PM MDT
Location: Along the Bow Valley Trail
We’re rolling up our sleeves with the Rotary Club for an Earth Day clean-up event! On April 22nd, we’ll be heading out to clean up the Bow Valley.

POW and Fjällräven Community Cleanup
Date: April 22, 2025
Time: 10 AM – 1 PM
Location: Fjällräven Store, Banff
Join Protect Our Winters (POW) for a community clean-up around the Fjällräven store in Banff. The event kicks off with a relaxed run or walk while picking up trash. Stick around for a fun raffle with prizes from Fjällräven and Arc’teryx, plus Red Bull to keep the energy high! Just bring your shoes, good vibes, and a friend or two.
Banff Earth Day Eco-Fair
Date: April 22, 2025
Time: 12 PM – 7 PM
Location: Banff Public Library, 101 Bear Street, Pioneer Room
With events like up-cycled craft markets, clothing swaps, perverse workshops, guided litter pick, nature meditations and more. This is a great way to spend Earth Day and learn how you can live more sustainably.

Golden
Wildsight Earth Day Community Clean-Up
Date: April 22, 2025
Time: 5 PM (Clean-Up), 6 PM (Potluck)
Location: Reflection Lake, Golden, V0A 1H0
Golden’s annual Earth Day clean-up returns at Reflection Lake. The clean-up begins at 5 PM—bags are provided, just bring your gloves. Afterward, stay for a potluck dinner at 6 PM. Bring your signature dish and your plate, cutlery, and mug. Chairs are a good idea, too! Enjoy warm beverages and good company as we wrap up the event with a group photo.

Protecting Golden’s Threatened Rainforest: An Evening with Eddie Petryshen
Date: April 28, 2025
Time: 7 PM
Location: Golden Seniors Centre
Learn about the Inland Temperate Rainforest of the Upper Columbia with Wildsight Conservation Specialist Eddie Petryshen. He’ll discuss the creatures that rely on this unique ecosystem and how we can protect it. This event is free, but space is limited—be sure to reserve your seat in advance.

Revelstoke
Community Clean-Up at the Greenbelt with the Green Belt Society
Date: April 22, 2025
Time: 9 AM – 12 PM
Location: Greenbelt, Revelstoke
Revelstoke is getting involved with a clean-up at the Greenbelt, thanks to the Green Belt Society. It’s a great opportunity to give back to the land while connecting with neighbors and nature lovers. More details will be shared closer to the date, so stay tuned!

Earth Day may be over, but the celebration continues!” Join the Revelstoke community for Re-Fest, where we celebrate the four ‘R’s—reduce, reuse, recycle, and repurpose. Get involved in sustainable activities, including a repair cafe, recraft market, Revelstoke Cycling Association bike swap, CSRD Trunk Sale, clothing swap, and more—all free to attend!
