In our two main lodges you’ll find our hotel-style suites, with our very own Canadian cabin-style decor of course. Pick a suite with an in-room jacuzzi for a truly relaxing stay or opt for a suite with a full kitchen, and get ready to cook up a delicious family meal.

Explore the area - Add these winter activities to your list

Baker Creek is in the heart of Banff National Park and only a short 10 minute drive from the world famous town of Lake Louise! Locals spend their whole winter exploring the area from the valley bottoms to the tops of the mountains.

Ski & Snowboard

Just down the road from Baker Creek, you’ll find the world famous Lake Louise Ski Resort. With endless amounts of terrain to shred, amazing panoramic views of the Canadian Rockies, and some of the fluffiest snow you’ll ever ride, it’s no question why the Lake Louise Ski Resort won the 2022 Canada’s Best Ski Resort of the year.

Skating

Every winter, we build a private skating rink on our property. With hot beverages only a few steps away and lights to keep the fun going into the dark hours, our skating rink is really your own personal skating area in the middle of Banff National Park. Challenge your party to some ODR or just get out for some fresh air, just make sure to not forget your skates!

Cross country skiing

Hit the trails right from your cabin door. No driving needed with this trail that parallels the Bow Valley parkway for 3.5km (2.2 miles) one way and starts just across the street from Baker Creek. You can also find a plethora of other groomed trails that bring you up Moraine Lake road, across the famous Lake Louise or to some old pioneer wood cabins. Needless to say, nordic skiing is a must winter activity to do in this area. See trail information here

Fat Biking

Pack your warmest gloves and head out for a winter ride on one of our on-sight fat tire bikes. Featuring abnormally big tires, our fat bikes are a great way to take in the local sights while getting some exercise in.

Snowshoeing

Some trails in the area are really only accessible by skis or snowshoes, that’s how much snow the area gets! The area of Lake Louise is jammed packed with snowshoeing trails that all lead to a breathtaking view. You can find the full list of trails here

Dog sledding

Mush down the Great Divide Trail with the crew from Kingmik Dog Sled Tours. Not only will you embark on a beautiful journey and talk about the history of dog sledding in Banff, this trail also crosses the continental divide between Alberta and British Columbia quite a few times. Within your 1.5 hour ride, you’ll have jumped between provinces a handful of times!

Hot tip: if your days are jammed packed with winter activities, our in-room jacuzzis are the perfect place to recover after a big day out.

Complete the experience with S’mores and Charcuterie

Live the true mountain cabin life with our s’mores and charcuterie packages that are available as add ons to your booking.

Ice Sculptures

Every January, Banff turns into an outdoor gallery of giant snow sculptures. On January 18th and 19th, live ice carving will take place at Baker Creek where our guests can watch as carvers build these majestic towering sculptures.

Northern lights

If luck is on your side, you may just experience the most magical natural phenomenon out there. Every so often Banff National Park is graced with the Northern Lights. Although patience is key when trying to catch the Aurora Borealis, knowing when to be out is very important. You can head over to aurorawatch.ca to see if the forecast is on your side.
