Campfires & Safety
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and must never be left unattended. Guests are responsible for ensuring there are no active fire restrictions before lighting a fire. Fireworks are strictly prohibited.
Wildlife & Food Storage
Sundance is located in bear country, and strict food storage rules are in place for your safety. Food, coolers, garbage, and any scented items must never be stored in tents or tipis. All attractants must be kept in a closed vehicle when not in use and properly disposed of in bear-proof bins. Failure to comply may result in fines or removal from the campground.
Bedding & Linens
Bedding and linens are included in all glamping-style units. Your confirmation will specify this as “Glamp [Room Name]”. Bedding and linens are not included in Trapper Tents, Tipis and Bell Canvas Tents.
Bedding Rentals
We offer bedding rentals for your convenience. Quantities are limited, so we recommend reserving in advance at the time of booking or by calling ahead.
Each bedding rental includes a sleeping bag, pillow with pillowcase, and a sleeping bag liner. Options are available for single beds ($16), double beds ($20), or family bedding ($36).
Additional add-ons include blankets ($15) and extra pillows ($4).
Cooking Kits & Rentals
Our cooking kit includes cooking utensils, plates, cutlery, a camp stove rental, and propane, making it easy to prepare meals during your stay. If you prefer, individual items can also be reserved separately, including a camp stove ($18), cooking kit ($25), cooler ($10), or miscellaneous cooking equipment ($4).
Rental Policies
Please call ahead to reserve rental items if they were not added during booking checkout. You will also have an opportunity to add items during online check-in; however, availability on-site cannot be guaranteed. Rentals are picked up at check-in and must be returned at check-out. Items left on-site will incur a minimum $30 pickup fee. Unused rentals that are not cancelled prior to check-in are subject to a $5 per item charge.
Wifi
There is no Wi-Fi on the property, and cell service may be limited. We recommend downloading maps and any essential information prior to arrival. A phone is available at the Trading Post for use in case of emergency.
Policies
Important Parking/Vehicle Information
All additional vehicles must be registered at the Trading Post. Only designated sites allow additional vehicles for a fee, and all site capacity limits must be respected. The speed limit throughout the campground is 15 km/h. Depending on the unit you book, it will either come with a parking space in the unit drive way, or will be a reserved parking space just a short walk from your stay. Cars are not allowed on the property trails.
Site Capacity
All additional tents are subject to a fee, and must be registered at the Trading Post. Site capacity is strictly limited to a maximum of six guests, including any added units (e.g., tents). Exceptions may be made for larger families; otherwise, an additional site or accommodation must be booked.
Visitors
Visitors are permitted for small bookings between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM and must register at the Trading Post upon arrival. Group bookings have additional restrictions, and Sundance is not suitable for large or party-oriented groups.
Housekeeping
Daily housekeeping is not provided for any sites. For stays longer than five days, housekeeping service is included. If you require fresh towels or bedding for your glamping site during your stay, please contact the front desk.
Pet Policy
We’re happy to welcome your furry companions (maximum of 2 per site). A fee of $25 per night, per pet applies. There is no additional charge for pets at bare campsites.
All pets must be registered at the Trading Post upon arrival. Please note that pets are not permitted in Tipis or Family Tipis.
To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests:
- Pets must not be left unattended at any time
- Excessive noise or disturbances may result in forfeiture of the damage deposit
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
Wildfire & Fire Ban Policy
We strictly follow all fire regulations and restrictions set by Alberta Parks and Kananaskis authorities. At any time, conditions may change, and when a fire ban is in effect, all open fires are prohibited without exception.
During fire bans, propane fire pits may be available for use and can be rented from the Trading Post, subject to availability. Quantities are limited.
Please note that changes to fire regulations, including fire bans, are outside of our control. Cancellations and refunds remain subject to our standard cancellation policy.
Smoking & Alcohol
Smoking is not permitted in any units, the Trading Post, or washrooms. Alcohol and cannabis may only be consumed at your designated campsite. Sundance maintains a zero-tolerance policy for offensive behaviour or disturbances, and this may result in a $250 fine.
Security & Safety
Management is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged articles. Please report any problems with your unit to an Sundance team member immediately. We adhere to all provincial, and local laws.
