Before You Arrive

A National Park Pass is required when entering a national park in Canada. Everyone planning to visit Banff National Park including Banff town and the Lake Louise area require a pass, you can purchase it online or at a visitor centre. From June 19 to September 7, 2026, admission to Banff National Park is FREE for all visitors through the Canada Strong Pass initiative. No entry pass is needed to explore Banff National Park during this time.

Please note that Baker Creek is a remote property and is best accessed by car. Public transit options are limited and may not stop directly at our location, so we recommend having your own vehicle for getting to and from the property. Shuttles services are only available during the summer season (service begins typically June 1).

Please stop by the Front Desk at Baker Creek to check in. Our front desk team will provide your key, and cabin number, and share important information for your stay. If arriving after 10:00 PM, please call ahead. 

On-Site Amenities (Year-Round)

Complimentary firewood is provided. Please do not leave fires unattended.

Open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Children under 16 must be supervised.

Located at the Front Desk, the café offers sandwiches, souvenirs, gifts,snacks, and a limited selection of alcoholic beverages for purchase.

On-Site Summer Amenities

We partner exclusively with Ten Peaks for guest pick-up and drop-off to and from Baker Creek. Guests receive a 10% discount—please refer to your confirmation email or digital directory for the discount code.

Complimentary mountain bikes are available for guest use.

A selection of lawn games, including horseshoes, bocce ball, are available to borrow from the office cabin.

On-Site Winter Amenities

Winter-equipped fat bikes are available for exploring nearby trails and riding along the parkway.

Complimentary snowshoes are available for guest use.

Complimentary ice skates are available for guest use.

Weather permitting, our seasonal outdoor skating rink is set up for guests to enjoy skating or a game of hockey. A firepit nearby offers a cozy place to warm up.

Campfires & Safety

Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and must never be left unattended. Guests are responsible for ensuring there are no active fire restrictions before lighting a fire. Fireworks are strictly prohibited.

Wildlife & Food Storage

Baker Creek is located in bear country, and strict food storage rules are in place for your safety. Food, coolers, garbage, and any scented items must never always be stored in your cabins or suites. All attractants must be kept in a closed vehicle or unit when not in use and properly disposed of in bear-proof bins. Failure to comply may result in fines or removal from the campground.

Wifi

Wi-Fi is available on the property, and we offer the best connection possible in a remote location; however, it may be affected by weather and is beyond our control, so we encourage you to unplug and unwind. Cell service is also limited, so we recommend downloading maps and any essential information prior to arrival. A phone is available at the front desk 24/7 for emergencies.

Policies

Parking is complimentary in our lot. Please note that cabins may require a short walk from the parking area. We are unable to accommodate large RVs. We do not currently offer electric vehicle charging. 

Baker Creek is located in a forested area where wildfire activity and smoke may occur. Air quality and related conditions are beyond our control and do not qualify for refunds.

Fire bans or restrictions may be implemented at any time and must be followed. Standard cancellation policies apply. 

Baker Creek is a non-smoking property with a designated smoking area in the parking lot.

Baker Creek maintains a zero-tolerance policy for offensive behaviour or disturbances, which may result in a $250 fine.

Management is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged articles. Please report any problems with your unit to a Baker Creek team member immediately. We adhere to all provincial, and local laws.

If you are planning a photoshoot on-site, please notify our team in advance. Please note that drones are strictly prohibited in Canadian National Parks without proper authorization and licensing.

We’re delighted to welcome your dogs to our cabins and suites. To ensure a comfortable and safe stay for all guests, please review the following guidelines.

Dogs are welcome, with a maximum of two per cabin or suite. Cats and other pets are not permitted. A fee of $40 CAD per night (for up to two dogs) applies, with a maximum charge of $300 per reservation. Service animals are exempt from all fees and standard pet restrictions. If you plan to bring your dog, please notify our Front Desk in advance.

Pets must not be left unattended in your cabin or suite. If you need to leave your dog alone, they must be secured in a crate and arrangements must be made with the Front Desk in advance.

Stay-over housekeeping is available only if your dog is crated or out of the room during service. Please coordinate timing with our team ahead of your cleaning.

We ask that all pets are well-behaved and that barking or disruptive behaviour is addressed promptly. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their pet, and charges may be applied if necessary.

All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while outside your cabin or suite. This is required for your pet’s safety, the comfort of other guests, and to comply with Parks Canada regulations.

Failure to follow leash requirements may result in fines issued by Parks Canada. Penalties can start around $300 for minor infractions and may be significantly higher for more serious violations, such as disturbing wildlife.

Pets may not be permitted on furniture or bedding. If noise complaints, damage, or disturbances occur, the damage deposit may be partially or fully forfeited.
