Electric Wolf Café Call for Artists

Attention, creative souls of the Bow Valley! We’re seeking new artists to showcase their work at Electric Wolf Cafe in Downtown Canmore. Conveniently located on Main Street, our previous artists have seen great success, having sold several paintings over the past few months. Now, we’re eager to showcase even more incredible local art—and that’s where you come in!

We’re all about celebrating creativity in every form. Whether you're into painting, snapping breathtaking photos, sculpting, designing, doodling, making collages, creating installations, printmaking, or even blending words with images – we’re looking at you to put your creative talents on display! 

Here’s the deal: we’re not just offering a spot to show off your work. We’re giving you a stage in one of the busiest spots in town, where folks from all walks of life can admire what you do. Best part? You keep 100% of any sales you make – no hidden fees or commissions here. We’ll make sure your name, artwork title, and how to reach you are front and center for everyone to see. And don’t worry, there’s absolutely no cost for you to be part of this.

The submissions are open to all artists and photographers from the Bow Valley, Banff, and Lake Louise area – no matter if you’re just starting out or have been in the game for years. We can’t wait to see what you’ve got and share it with the community and visitors alike. Let’s make Electric Wolf not just a place to grab a bite, but a cornerstone of local art and culture. Artwork and Photography Guideline

We're seeking vibrant and fun artwork that captures the essence of the Canadian Rockies. Our grab-and-go style cafe, aims to showcase the mountain lifestyle that we all know and love.

If you have a story to tell, we encourage you to submit.

Submission Requirements:

Must be a local resident of the Bow Valley area, Banff, and/or Lake Louise.

Artwork should be no heavier than 30lbs. No murals or large scale paintings larger than 60” x 60” will be accepted.

Please ensure that your work has a wire running horizontally along the back to ensure we can properly hang this art (we will be hanging your art).

Submit your artwork through our external form.

Submission Limit:

• Please submit a maximum of three art pieces, installations, or photos per person. If you have been selected as a displayer, we may offer additional space.

Presentation Standards:

• All successful submissions must have a wire or string across the back of the art piece, to hang within the space. 

Artist Fees and Sales:

• No artist fees will be paid for participation.
• Artists have the option to price their work for sale.
• We will not charge any commission on sales. Artists are responsible for handling all inquiries related to the purchase of their artwork.

Artwork Delivery:

• Selected artists must deliver their ready-to-hang/display/install artwork to Electric Wolf between November 20th to 27th, 2024.

Submission Terms and Conditions:

By submitting your art or creative pieces, you accept our terms and conditions. Please note that we will not pay any artist fees, commissions, or other forms of payment. This initiative is for community purposes, allowing you to showcase your art in a high-traffic location free of charge.

We will not take any money on your behalf; you will be responsible for the sale of your art pieces. We will provide your contact information below the piece to facilitate this.

We take no responsibility for any damage or theft of your artwork. You will hang these pieces at your own risk and we will do our best to take the best possible care of it. Please be aware that the secure system at the back makes it very difficult to remove the artwork from the wall.
